The Manor Farm

According to Frank Rutter, in his Sunday Times review of the Goupil Gallery's Summer Exhibition (14 June 1925), 'Gilbert Spencer is at his best in the sweet reasonableness of The Manor Farm, with its light greens, discreet patterning and exquisite appreciation of distance.' This untraced painting was probably painted in or around Garsington, Oxfordshire.
