Portrait of Denise Wilson, W.R.N.S.

Denise Wilson married Peter Spencer Coppock, Gilbert Spencer's son. Coppock wrote, 'While in Malta I made one of my better decisions and I became engaged to a Third Officer in the W.R.N.S. and married Denise Wilson in 1948 when I returned home about a year after she had done so.  Gilbert did another fine drawing of her in January 1948 in uniform, wearing her tricorn hat.  This picture and my own were exhibited at Gilbert’s show at the Leicester Galleries.'
