Professor Herbert Hall Turner (1861-1930) was an astronomer and seismologist, and a Fellow of New College, Oxford. He was involved in the discovery of a new planet, named Pluto, in March 1930, and died suddenly of a brain haemorrhage on 19 August 1930.
