John Nash, CBE, RA
The artist John Nash (1893-1977) was a lifelong friend of Spencer. Their landscape paintings shared many similarities, each seeking an earthy, unidealised version of the British countryside, and the two artists exhibited together at the Goupil Gallery in 1926 and 1928.
